How to start

  1. Tell your coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar): set up https://mcp.datawebot.com/setup.md
  2. Approve the sign-in from the email datawebot sends. There is no key to copy.
  3. Ask for what you need, for example: "Find the Sony WH-1000XM5 in US shops and list every seller's price with links."

Writing your own code instead? Create an API key and follow the API quickstart.

What it does not do

  • It does not run checks on a schedule, send alerts or keep price history. Each call returns a snapshot with its retrieval time.
  • It returns what a store shows publicly. It does not read logged-in prices, carts or checkout totals.
  • It does not crawl a whole store in one go. Catalogue Jobs fetch a bounded number of pages per run.

A few useful answers.

What is an ecommerce scraper API?

A service that returns product data from online stores, such as titles, prices, sellers and availability, as structured records instead of raw web pages. datawebot gives that data to AI agents through MCP and to your own code through a REST API.

Which stores can it extract?

Amazon in 10 countries, Walmart US and more than 21,000 online stores. Every store and the pages it supports are listed on the endpoints page. Product search and seller offers work across online shops beyond that list.

How much does it cost?

Product search and seller offers are free within a daily allowance. Extraction Jobs use credits: 5 per search or catalogue page and 1 per product page. Every account starts with 200 free trial credits, packs start at $10, and credits do not expire. Failed or empty Jobs are not charged.

Does it track prices over time?

No. Each call returns a best-effort snapshot with the time it was retrieved. Run it on your own schedule and keep the rows you need, as in our Python price tracker tutorial.

Do I need to write a scraper?

No. Tell your coding agent to set up https://mcp.datawebot.com/setup.md, approve the sign-in email, and ask for the products you want.
