When Apify is the better fit

  • You need a site or task datawebot does not cover, and an Actor for it already exists.
  • You need scheduling, storage and webhooks on the same platform that runs the scraper.
  • You want to build and host your own scrapers.

When datawebot is the better fit

  • You want one product schema across Amazon, Walmart and thousands of online stores instead of a different Actor and output for each.
  • Your agent should search products across shops and compare seller offers without choosing a scraper first.
  • You prefer credits that do not expire over a monthly plan.

Run a fair test

  1. Pick three products you track and one store search page you care about.
  2. Write down the fields you need: price, currency, availability, seller and variant.
  3. Ask each tool for the same products and pages, and compare completeness, how much clean-up the output needs, and the cost per useful record.
