The role
Every shop datawebot supports is a blueprint: a defined endpoint that takes a search, catalog or product URL and returns structured product records. You will grow that catalog of shops, using AI agents to write, test and repair extractors, and you will own whether the results are right.
What you will do
- Build and maintain blueprints for marketplaces, retailers and brand stores, from search and catalog pages to product detail pages.
- Design agent workflows that draft a new extractor, test it against live pages and open a pull request a human can review quickly.
- Detect broken or drifting sources early with schema checks, sample runs and alerts, then fix them before customers notice.
- Normalize prices, currencies, variants, stock and seller fields into one consistent record shape.
- Work with the backend team on job reliability, retries and cost per page.
What you need
- Three or more years of production experience collecting data from websites at scale, in Python or TypeScript.
- Hands-on use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in your daily work, and opinions about where they fail.
- Comfort with HTTP, HTML, JSON APIs embedded in pages, and browser automation.
- Habit of writing tests and validation for data, not just code.
- Clear written English for pull requests, issues and incident notes.
Nice to have
- Experience with ecommerce data: Amazon, Shopify, Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia, Walmart or similar.
- Experience building or using MCP servers or LLM tool calling.
- Product matching or entity resolution work.
