What a credit buys

## One price list for your agent, the API and the CLI.

The same credits pay for everything. Your agent sees the price before it runs anything.

| Action | What it is | Credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `search_products` | One search, on one shop or across shops, up to 20 products | 5 |
| `get_product` | One product's details, with every seller's price where several shops sell it | 1 |
| `submit_job: search or catalogue page` | One page of a store's search or catalogue, by default | 5 per page |
| `submit_job: product page` | One product page, by default | 1 per page |
| `discover, check_site, find_endpoints, get_results, get_account` | Finding tools, checking prices, reading results, checking your balance | Free |
| A failed request | Anything that fails, including a blocked page | Free |
| `An empty result` | The page loaded but had nothing to return | The same as a result |

Some endpoints, such as newly added stores, have their own price per page; `find_endpoints` shows it. The price that applies is the one shown before a request runs.

Worked examples

## What common jobs cost at the default prices.

The 200 free credits cover any one of these.

| Task | Requests | Credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Compare one product's sellers | 1 search, then 1 product read | 6 |
| Shortlist 10 products, then check each seller's price | 1 search, then 10 product reads | 15 |
| Watch 50 products' prices weekly for a month | 50 product reads, 4 times | 200 |
| Read a store's catalogue, 10 pages | 1 Job, 10 catalogue pages | 50 |

Extraction Jobs

## Paid per page fetched. Set aside, then settled.

For whole catalogues, category pages and several pages of a search. By default 5 credits per search or catalogue page and 1 per product page.

When you submit

### Credits are set aside

A Job asking for 3 pages sets aside the credits for 3 pages (`max_pages`, up to the endpoint’s limit). The price is fixed at that moment.

When it finishes

### You pay for pages fetched

If it fetched 2 pages, it pays for 2 and the rest is released. A Job that fetches nothing is free.

FAQ

## Questions about datawebot

Is there a subscription?

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases in US dollars, paid on Stripe's checkout page. Buy another pack whenever you need more.

Do credits expire?

No. Free and bought credits stay on your account until you use them.

What if a request fails or finds nothing?

A request that fails, including a blocked page, is free, and anything set aside for it is released. A request that loads the page but finds nothing still costs credits, because the page was read: a search its price, a Job the pages that loaded. If we can't confirm the page loaded, it is free, and so is a search on a named shop that finds nothing.

Does a search with 20 results cost more than one with 5?

No. A search costs the same whatever the number of products it returns, and a Job pays per page fetched, not per product. One search page with 50 products costs the same as one with 10.

How do I know what something costs before it runs?

check_site gives a shop's prices and find_endpoints gives each endpoint's price per page, both free. Pass max_credits with a request and nothing runs if it could cost more.

What happens when I run out of credits?

A request your balance cannot cover is refused with insufficient_credits and nothing is charged. Buy a credit pack on the dashboard under Billing, and carry on.

Can a Job's price change after I submit it?

No. A Job keeps the price that applied when it was submitted, even if the endpoint's price changes while it runs.

How long are results available?

Job results can be read for seven days after a Job finishes; after that they expire.
