# Newegg product data: item IDs, component specs and seller offers

Separate Newegg item IDs, manufacturer models and UPCs; compare hardware specs and record Marketplace seller, shipper, condition and market.

Updated October 18, 2026 · datawebot team

## Keep Newegg item IDs separate from manufacturer identifiers

A Newegg product page, a manufacturer's model and a Marketplace seller's offer are different entities. Preserve each source's exact identifier and the platform or party that issued it before matching listings.

| Identifier | What it identifies | How to preserve it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Newegg Item # | A Newegg catalog/listing identifier shown with the product listing | Store it as a platform-scoped item ID with the Newegg.com, NeweggBusiness.com or Newegg.ca context. |
| Manufacturer part/model | The manufacturer's model or part designation for the hardware | Preserve exact letters, digits and suffixes from product specs or manufacturer documentation. |
| UPC | A product barcode, when shown for the item | Keep all digits and the code type; do not treat it as a Newegg Item # or a seller SKU. |

## Compare hardware with category-specific compatibility fields

The title is a useful label, not a compatibility test. Newegg puts item specifications on the Specs tab; for a build or replacement decision, compare the fields that determine fit and function, then confirm the final combination with the manufacturer.

| Component family | Fields worth retaining | Compatibility check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| CPU | Exact model, socket, generation, core/thread count and stated power/thermal requirements | Check the motherboard's supported CPU list and required BIOS version. |
| Motherboard | Socket, chipset, form factor, memory generation and available expansion/storage slots | Check CPU support, case dimensions and the intended memory/drive interfaces. |
| Graphics card | Exact board model, GPU, VRAM type/capacity, card length, slot width, power connector and display outputs | Check case clearance, power supply requirements and the monitor connection. |
| Memory kit | DDR generation, DIMM/SODIMM form, kit capacity/module count, rated speed/timings and ECC/registered status | Check the motherboard and CPU memory support list; keep the kit configuration intact. |
| Storage | Exact model, capacity, 2.5-inch/M.2/U.2 form, SATA or NVMe interface, and PCIe generation when stated | An M.2 shape alone does not establish that a slot supports the drive's protocol. |
| Missing specification | Unknown value, source page/field and review date | Do not infer the attribute from a product title or a different model in the same family. |

## Keep seller, shipper, item condition and returns with each offer

A Marketplace offer is not just a price attached to a catalog item. A third-party seller can sell an item that Newegg ships, and an item can be offered in a used condition with details only the seller description explains.

| Offer dimension | Record with the observation | Do not collapse |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seller | Seller name/ID and the listing or offer identifier | Newegg Item # identifies the catalog layer; it does not by itself identify the seller. |
| Fulfillment | Shipped by seller or shipped by Newegg, plus any stated service/market | A Newegg shipping service does not change who sold the offer. |
| Condition | Exact source label: New, Refurbished, Used – Like New, Used – Very Good, Used – Good or Used – Acceptable | A condition grade is not a complete inspection; retain the seller's notes about missing parts, defects and warranty. |
| Price and availability | Displayed amount, amount type, currency, selected market, offer state and observation time | MSRP/MAP, selling price, promotion and current availability are different fields. |
| Warranty and returns | Product-page return policy, seller terms where present, manufacturer warranty and the source/date for each | Newegg's general return guidance allows additional Marketplace-seller terms and product-specific policies. |

## Review Newegg's automated-access and content-use terms first

Newegg's Policy & Agreement page, reviewed October 5, 2026 and marked updated July 21, 2026, restricts access through automated means such as scripts or web crawlers and prohibits scraping or republishing site content. It also limits site-content use to personal, non-commercial use. Treat these as source terms to review, not as permission to collect or reuse product data.

| Decision | Evidence to check | Practical boundary |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Access method | Current Terms and any separate signed written authorization | The interface exception and automated-access restriction are separate clauses; do not assume the former grants crawler permission. |
| Commercial use | Applicable product, text, image and trademark rights, plus written approvals where required | Newegg terms reserve site content and marks; an available product page or robots directive is not a commercial license. |
| Policy evidence | Policy URL, review date, region/platform and the clauses checked | Recheck terms before planning a data workflow because policies can change. |
